Hey everyone,
I just had my mom's Lexus is250 done with the 3M hood protector and it turned out great.
No air bubbles whatsoever and it's very smooth overall. I had the front part of my hood and fenders done.
The guy that did my car does all of Don Valley Lexus/Toyota, Richmond Hill Lexus and Scarborough Lexus/Toyota cars.
He charged me $275 which is ok seeing how the Lexus dealership wants almost $400 for it.
I would recommend him for those who wants the same thing done.

His name is Sal.
Phone no. 416-919-8039.

Give him a call and say Vincent recommended him to you.

We used Sal as well when I was working for a Nissan dealer. He does good work.

Please provide contact for cheaper guy. Those cut off lines always bugged me so if I do it, I want the whole panel done.

Are the pieces pre-cut templates based on car model or does he simply use a roll?

I don't know I didn't see him do it, he did my car while I was at work.

You can tell by looking at it because the lines will be straight. For example on the hood, the film will go straight across and same with the fenders, there will be a straight line. Mine was computer cut, so it contours the hood and the fenders are rounded.

Looks like the lines are straight so I guess he used a roll. The film looks good to me so I'm happy with it. It is genuine 3M film he assured me of that, their are companies doing hood/fender film using non-3M film and doing it at a $50 discount ($100).

Is this for the Sentra? Note that a full hood would be very expensive...if they even make a roll that wide...

They would make a roll that wide. Might cost more, but 3M sells them in large rolls too.

It's for my miata though, not the sentra. CF hood on Sentra is fubar'd and needs a repaint...clear 3M won't save it. Actually, 3M CF wrap may save it haha...has anyone CF wrapped a CF hood

I had my hood, fenders, mirrors, headlights and a little spot in front of my back tires done when I had my tint done. He then had to redo my hood, one headlight and one fender after my accident with the deer. It was done by a friend of mine in Kitchener-Waterloo. His shop is Image1 and I strongly recommend him to anyone in the area.

Getting one of these shops to wrap an entire hood is probably going to cost about what the hood is worth... like $400 or so.

Yes I agree plus your hood will not look as good completely covered in film. Since you can see the film I didn't want any more on than necessary.
